The Recreation and Community Services Department is excited to announce a new partnership with Bryant & Stratton College. The college features over 30 academic programs with campuses in Glendale, Wauwatosa and downtown Milwaukee. The Bryant and Stratton Bobcats compete athletically in the NJCAA Division II athletic program. Bryant and Stratton college campuses field teams in men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s soccer, softball, baseball and women’s volleyball.

When Jacob (J.T.) Gritzmacher, (a former WAWM RCS Recreation Department employee and West Allis Central High School Graduate) was hired at Bryant and Stratton as the Head Men’s Basketball Coach for the Bobcats on April 2, 2020, he immediately reached out to our department to cultivate a relationship on and off the basketball court.

“Coach Gritzmacher understands our programs, our athletes, our community, and is looking to give back to the programs, district and community that afforded him and his family to grow both academically and athletically,” explained Director of Recreation and Community Services, Shelly Strasser.

“Coach Gritzmacher and his staff and players will be working with Youth Sports Program Manager, Sam Sujecki to conduct skills clinics and coaching clinics for our Youth Basketball Leagues,” said Youth Sports Program Manager, Sam Sujecki. “We are fortunate to have him share his knowledge and expertise. This partnership will improve the quality of our programming.  We believe it will be of great benefit to our players and coaches.”
