The annual ADAMM Technicians of Tomorrow competition puts the top high school automotive technology students against one another in a written and hands-on skills competition. The best of the best high school students compete for prizes including Snap-on tools and technical college scholarships. The top school team of two students qualify for the national finals held at the New York city auto show each spring. ADAMM high school teams are three time winners of the National Automotive Technology Competition.

Gonzales-Ruvalcaba and Fregoso were one of the six teams in Southeastern WI that qualified for this competition based on their online test scores from the ASE qualifying exam. They were also the only school representing Milwaukee County.

“The competition had our students troubleshooting problems on brand new 2021 Ford Escapes. They also completed a written exam and rotated through six hands-on stations involving various automotive tasks and competencies,” explained Automotive Teacher, Mr. Matt Kerhin.

“We didn't win this year but we had a great time and we all benefited from this experience. Our students took home wonderful prizes from ADAMM and our local vehicle dealers too. I am very proud of these students and we hope to qualify again next year!”
