Ashley Duley, an eighth grade Balanced Literacy teacher at West Milwaukee Intermediate School, has been teaching virtually since March 17, 2018.  In a recent article with University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Education Reporter, Emily Files, Duley talked about the lessons she’s learned while teaching virtually.

“I was happy to speak with Emily about my virtual classroom experience and share some insight into the world of virtual teaching,” said Duley. “Over the past ten months, I have been reflective on my own teaching practices and tirelessly working to create a positive virtual environment focused on connecting with my students.”

“Ms. Duley works hard to make positive connections with students and engage them in their learning.  Even though this has been a difficult time, we are going to continue doing things that have had a positive impact on instruction,” said Principal Connie Bergmann.
