West Allis Nathan Hale High School is pleased to announce that Greg Lucas has been named Interim Athletic Director for the 2020-21 school year.

“After a thorough search and interview process, we are excited to have Mr. Lucas lead our Huskies athletic program,” said Principal Mathew Lesar. “Mr. Lucas comes to us with an extensive background in athletics administration -- most recently having served as an athletic director at Ozaukee High School. He also served in various athletic administration roles for Germantown and Southern Door high schools.”

Prior to working in a school setting, Lucas served as a licensed athletic trainer for Midwest Orthopedic Speciality Hospital, Door County Memorial Hospital and Sports Physical Therapy and Rehab Center.  As a licensed athletic trainer, he worked extensively with student-athletes at Milwaukee Riverside, Brookfield Central, Kenosha Bradford and a variety of Door County high schools.

In addition to work experience, Lucas has a Masters in Athletic Administration from Ohio University and is a Registered Athletic Administrator with the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.

“Mr. Lucas is no stranger to the Greater Metro Conference. He attended Wauwatosa East High School and has coached there. His children attended Brookfield East High School. His familiarity and athletic administration background will be an asset as he begins working with us,” adds Lesar.

“I am excited to join the Nathan Hale High School community,” said Lucas. “I have a great passion for high school athletics and I look forward to building relationships with student-athletes, coaches, parents, and staff.”
