The Hale-Central Robotics Team received a sponsorship of $600 from Kevin Meagher, the President and CEO of Corix Utilities, Inc. in Wauwatosa.

Corix is a leader in the implementation of sustainable water, wastewater, and energy utility infrastructure solutions for small to medium-sized communities across North America. Corix designs, supplies, builds, installs, finances, and operates local utility infrastructure on behalf of municipal, institutional, military, and private-sector customers.

On January 20, 2020, Kevin and Christina Kunda, the Nathan Hale parents, who shared our program with Kevin and helped to facilitate the gift, gathered for the sponsorship presentation. The team thanked Meagher in person. Our team members were there to showcase this year’s robot and share with Kevin and Christina our mission and some of our current projects.

According to Mrs. Donna Krasovich, Robotics Team Advisor at Nathan Hale High School, “This sponsorship wil
l help fund the design improvements and enhancements on our underwater controlled robot.” The students are tasked with designing and building a remotely operated vehicle and the necessary sensors. The Hale-Central Robotics Team will compete in the Milwaukee Regional Competition on Sunday April 26, 2020. The competition is organized by the Marine Advanced Technical Education Center and sponsored by the UW Milwaukee Foundation.
