This month, the staff at Franklin Elementary School saw themselves on the big screen thanks to production efforts from our District's Leadership and Learning Department. “We’ve been working on this video with a production firm.  It features students, teachers, parents and school leaders at Franklin Elementary School,” explained Director of Leadership and Learning, Diedre Roemer.

“The video is designed to showcase the commitment we’re making to deeper learning.”

According to Principal, Leslie Connors, “We want our community to know that we’re working hard to foster a sense of belonging in our schools. Our school is like a family -- we want people to have a glimpse of the good things going on each day.”

“The deeper learning competencies are important to us. Our emphasis on project based learning is helping students become problem-solvers, collaborators, and communicators. We want to empower our students by providing them with authentic experiences that build skills and knowledge.”
