Access Skyward to Monitor your Child’s Progress!

Grades, Attendance, Assignments,Test Scores and more!

Skyward is the tool that helps parents view student schedules, attendance, and grade reports while logged in on any personal device!  We ask that parents access Skyward to track their child’s progress in school (we only print paper records upon request).

Skyward enables parents to make fee payments and manage lunch money accounts. It also
allows for increased communication with teachers. It is very important that parents maintain accurate telephone numbers and email addresses on Skyward.

Skyward works with any laptop, iPad, or personal device.  On an Android (google play store) and the iPhone (App Store); search for the SKYWARD application and download the free Skyward App to your device.  To login:

  1. Go to www.wawm.k12.wi.us 

  2. Click on the Quick Link > SKYWARD

  3. Enter > LOGIN ID
    - Your login ID is your first and last name (lowercase, no comma). Example: janedoe
    - If your last name is hyphenated, do not use the hyphen. Example:  janedoesmith

  4. Enter > PASSWORD  
    - For parents with students new to the District as of July 1, 2018, the password is wawm6300
    - For parents with students already enrolled in the District prior to July 1, 2018, please call the school main office for your password.

  5. Once you access Skyward, you will be prompted to change your password. Skyward will require you to change your password. It must be 8 characters in length and include at least 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter, and 1 number.


While most records for Skyward are maintained by the District office (e.g., address changes can only be made at the WAWM Enrollment Center) there are some
records that parents maintain to ensure accuracy.   

Maintain Accurate Telephone Numbers
School Messenger is used to send voicemail messages to primary and secondary telephones.  It will only send a message to all three telephone numbers if there is a school emergency.  We ask that parents maintain telephone numbers on Skyward.

  1. Go to Student Info > click on REQUEST CHANGES FOR (YOUR CHILD’S NAME).

  2. Click on FAMILY INFORMATION > click on TELEPHONE to list three telephone contact numbers.

  3. Click save.

Maintain Accurate Email Addresses
School Messenger is also used to send email messages.  Email is used to send important notices, information, and updates.  We ask that parents maintain an accurate email address on Skyward.

  1. Go to Student Info > click on REQUEST CHANGES FOR YOUR CHILD’S NAME.

  2. Click FAMILY INFORMATION > click on HOME EMAIL.  The email address is listed. If it is correct, no changes are necessary.  If an update is needed, enter your email address.

  3. Click save.

Make a Food Service Payment
Parents can make payments for Food Service using Skyward.  Parents can also view transactions.

  1. Go to FOOD Service > click on MAKE A PAYMENT.

  2. Click on PURCHASE FOOD to put money in your child’s food service account.  The program provides payment options. Once selected, they will be added to your cart for check out.

Make a Fee Payment

Parents can make fee payments online.

  1. Go to FEE MANAGEMENT > click on MAKE A PAYMENT.

  2. Click on PURCHASE FEES. Enter an amount and add to selected cart for check out.

Help for Skyward

There are a number of menu options in Skyward. A quick overview of the current menu of options is as follows:

Calendar
(Secondary only)

Parents of Secondary Students can view their child’s due dates for homework, projects, and tests.  (Note that items circled in red are missing.)

Gradebook
(Secondary only)

Parents of Secondary Students can view their child’s grades.  Click on the grade to view the individual assignments. Click on “missing assignments” for a list of outstanding items.

Attendance

All parents can view their child’s daily, weekly, and monthly attendance.  Note that “Today’s Attendance” is at the top of the page. Click on the class to see specific absences from that period.

Bus

For students that are eligible school bus transportation, the route number, bus stop location, pick-up time, and drop-off time is listed. For questions regarding a bus assignment, contact the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District Enrollment Center at 414-604-3014. For questions or concerns regarding bus transportation (e.g., late bus arrival, failure to pick-up, etc.) call FIRST STUDENT BUS COMPANY at 414-649-2620.

Student Info

All parents can view their child’s demographic information.  Parents are asked to maintain accurate telephone numbers and email addresses on Skyward.

Food Service

All parents can view their child’s food service account and make payments.  Click on MAKE A PAYMENT to put money in your child’s food service account.

Schedule

All parents can view their child’s schedule.  Click on the class to get the teacher’s email address.

Discipline

All parents can view their child’s discipline records.

Fee Management

All parents can view their child’s school fees.  Click on MAKE A PAYMENT to pay fees online.

Student Services

If applicable, parents can view their child’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) or 504 Plan.  As these documents are revised (during scheduled meetings) they will be uploaded to Skyward.  

Academic History
(Secondary only)

Parents of Secondary Students can view their child’s past academic performance records.

Report Cards

All parents can view their child’s progress reports (secondary) and grade reports (all students) when posted.  Paper copies are only available upon request.

Health Info

All parents can view health records such as health conditions and immunizations.

Test Scores

All parents can view standardized test scores (e.g., MAP, ACT) as they become available.

Login History

All parents can view the past login history for Skyward.
