On March 20, 2019, Sodexo will host their annual Future Chef Competition in the cafeteria at Nathan Hale High School. The West Allis-West Milwaukee School District joins 266 other school districts across the country holding Future Chef events throughout February and March. Six elementary student finalists will prepare their favorite Fiesta Fit recipe. The winning student from each participating district will be considered for 40 regional finalist awards.

According to Sodexo Manager, Steve Kosnar, “I have had the opportunity to meet with each future chef and they are all very excited and ready to showcase their recipe. Judges will be looking for health conscious mexican foods that are simple and kid friendly.”

The judges are Dan Bailey, School Board Member, Heather Justham, School Board Member, Caitlin Windler, Director of Finance and Operations, Chef Jorge, Sodexo Employee, Barry Orgeron, Sodexo District Manager. The competition will begin at 4:00 p.m. and the winners will be announced at 5:30 p.m.. This event is open to the public.
