As the end of the semester nears, high school students are busy preparing for final exams. “Some exams are a culminating assessment while others are based on the previous unit of study,” explains Director of Leadership and Learning, Deidre Roemer. “It’s a time for high school teachers to make a final review of the topics covered and assess each student's knowledge of the subject.”
During exams, breakfast is served each morning in the cafeteria. From 7:30 a.m. - 8:20 a.m., students have the option to visit classrooms to prepare for exams. Exams begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. each day. At dismissal, school buses are at the high schools for pickup.
“We know students are working hard to prepare for exams,” adds Roemer, “It’s an important part of our commitment to college and career readiness.”
