On January 7, 2019, West Allis Central High School’s DECA chapter competed at Kettle Moraine High School in the District 5 Competition. Six students from the Central chapter stepped out of their comfort zones to compete against 17 of the top schools from the area.

According to DECA advisor, Mr. Lukomski, “Our DECA members completed a 100 question multiple-choice exam and took part in two role-play scenarios that were presented in front of judges. Our students were tough competitors and gained invaluable experience in problem-solving, organizing ideas, and public speaking.”

The DECA chapter at West Allis Central High School has increased their membership to 28 students this year. The increase was enough to gain two spots in the state competition planned for March in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.  DECA members, Alexia Rodriquez and Jose Prado will represent West Allis Central High School at the event.
