On May 11, 2015, the School Board was presented with the 2015-2020 CIP by Director of Business Services, Andrew Chromy and Coordinator of Facilities and Operations, Steve Rohde. In order to complete this process, Steve worked with building principals, building custodians, district pod leaders, and district maintenance staff to produce a comprehensive list of necessary items to ensure that our buildings are safe, secure, comfortable and efficient.
This document is meant to be a living document, in that there will undoubtedly be changes throughout the years for unforeseen incidents that occur. Our focus is on 2015-16 with our vision set on 2020. In order to accomplish our tasks, we have highlighted the improvements that are planned for 2015-16. This plan received final approval at the Board of Education meeting on May 26, 2015.
To assist in accomplishing this goal, the School Board approved a borrowing not to exceed $3.1 million at the June 8, 2015 School Board meeting. This borrowing is set to yield a $0 impact to the 2015-16 budget and approximately $350,000 per year for 2016-17 through 2025-26 to repay the bonds.
