We are located on a beautiful 65-acre campus and sustain an enrollment of approximately 1,600 plus students from throughout the West Allis, West Milwaukee, New Berlin, Greenfield, and Milwaukee metropolitan area. Nathan Hale High School has been providing excellence in education for over 70 years. We offer a rigorous and comprehensive curriculum that prepares students for success beyond high school.

Academically, Nathan Hale High School boasts an ACT composite score that surpasses the state and national averages. ACT's Director of Education and Workforce Research Services recently cited Nathan Hale High School's three consecutive years of increases as educationally significant. Our Advanced Placement scores exceed state and national averages with 70 percent of these students achieving college credit for courses prior to high school graduation. Our schoolÕs performance on the Wisconsin Knowledge and Concepts Exam also surpasses state averages. These accomplishments are a result of a rigorous curriculum, committed staff, dedicated parents, and a highly engaged student body.

Our professional learning community of teachers and staff focuses on promoting student success through a number of academic interventions. Nathan Hale High School supports a full-time Academic Dean who facilitates academic services for students in need of assistance. Our eight-period schedule features a midday Academic Enrichment Period where all students can seek academic assistance across the curriculum. During that same period of time, all ninth grade students are assigned to a Freshmen Academic Enrichment period, staffed by a teacher and two student mentors, where the curriculum focuses on making a positive social and academic transition to high school. Data collected indicates that both programs enhance overall academic success for students.

Nathan Hale High SchoolÕs comprehensive career program, Career Academy, has been ranked 1st in the state of Wisconsin and 4th in the nation by both the American School Counselor Association and the United States Army in its Planning for Life Award. The Career Academy exposes all students, 9-12, to a broad range of careers and career-related activities while empowering students to make informed choices about careers prior to selecting post-secondary options.

Our extra-curricular athletic programs, clubs, and activities cater to a variety of interests and talents. We encourage students to become involved in these related activities as it creates meaningful connections to school and enhances their overall academic achievement.

The Nathan Hale High School experience offers students a comprehensive and well-rounded high school experience while, at the same time, challenging students to meet and exceed their academic potential. In summary, we are committed to providing excellence in education to every student, every day, and with every opportunity.
