Tornado and Severe Weather Awareness Week

 (April 17, 2008) - During the week of April 21 – 25 all School Districts in Wisconsin are participating in exercises for Tornado and Severe Weather Awareness Week.  Schools throughout the West Allis – West Milwaukee School District are also conducting these drills.

The goal of these drills is to prepare staff and students in the case that severe weather actually does occur during the school day.    Each District building has a designated area where students and staff should go during severe weather.  Inquires can be made to school principals for information on your school’s designated area to take cover during severe weather.
